His background includes a long career in business leadership before earning his CFI and CFII ratings to train his own children. That mission grew into Speedway’s professional pilot pathway, and Joe continues to play a hands-on role in training oversight, instructor development, and student mentorship.

He sets the instructional tone for the entire team, emphasizing high standards, steady growth, and one-on-one attention. Joe believes in building competent, confident pilots from day one—and holding the school to the same high expectations he holds for himself and his instructors.

Speedway Flight Training is based just south of Atlanta at KHMP, a non-towered airport with quick access to nearby practice areas and Class B airspace. Our quiet airfield and flexible flying hours make it easy for students to get in the air and stay on track. We serve students from McDonough, Griffin, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, and surrounding areas.
